About Us
Who We Are
Condobolin Aboriginal Health Service (CAHS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) delivering culturally safe, holistic health and wellbeing services to Aboriginal people, families and the broader community.
Established by community, for community, CAHS provides a range of integrated health, dental and social and emotional wellbeing services designed to improve health outcomes and strengthen connections to culture, family and community.
We believe that health extends beyond medical care and encompasses physical, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual wellbeing. Through a community-led approach, we work alongside our people to create healthier futures for generations to come.
Our Governance
CAHS is established as a not-for-profit Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation under the Corporations (Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (CATSI Act). We are also registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and we are endorsed by the ATO as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR).
CAHS is governed by a locally elected Board of Directors, ensuring the organisation remains accountable to the Aboriginal community it serves.
As an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, our members play an important role in shaping the direction of the service. Our governance model ensures that decisions about services, priorities and future directions are made by the community, for the community. This approach ensures cultural accountability, local decision-making and services that genuinely reflect the needs and aspirations of Aboriginal people.
The Board of Directors is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organisation, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, overseeing financial sustainability, managing risk, and monitoring organisational performance.
Through strong governance and community leadership, CAHS remains accountable to its members, patients, funding bodies and the wider community.

Our Artwork
Artist Description
This artwork was created by local Aboriginal woman and Condobolin Aboriginal Health Service Board member, Allana Newman.
Inspired by Wiradjuri culture and Country, the artwork represents a place where our mob comes together across generations—a meeting place for connection, healing, learning and belonging. It reflects the enduring strength of community, the importance of shared knowledge, and the role of culture in supporting health and wellbeing.
The earthy colour palette draws inspiration from the landscapes of Wiradjuri Country, with a particular focus on the Lachlan River, a lifeblood of the region that has sustained Aboriginal people for countless generations. Flowing throughout the design, the river symbolises life, movement, connection and continuity.
At its heart, the artwork reflects the role of Condobolin Aboriginal Health Service as a trusted place where culture, community and healthcare come together. It represents our commitment to walking alongside our people, honouring our past, supporting our present, and strengthening the health and wellbeing of future generations.
